We're getting the question more and more: should I set up a BV? The short answer: it depends.

When does a BV pay off?

The rule of thumb is that a BV becomes fiscally interesting at a profit of around €80,000 to €100,000 per year.

Advantages of a BV

You pay corporate tax instead of income tax, which is more advantageous at higher profits. Plus: limited liability.

Disadvantages

More administrative obligations, filing annual accounts, notary costs and more complex bookkeeping.

What we advise

Don't make this decision alone. At Blueprint, we calculate whether a BV is truly more beneficial in your situation.
